Summer Fragrance!
When the weather gets a bit warmer it’s always nice to get a lighter perfume. Heavy, musky orientals should be put to the back of your fragrance wardrobe (coz we all have one of them, don’t we) to make way for your summer scent. I personally love citrus notes over sweet, as I find these refreshing in the warmer months and also don’t make you a prime target for wasps and bees!
I currently have these 3 on rotation:
Calvin Klein, CK One Summer 2010
EVERYONE knows someone whose signature scent is CK One =). In high school you couldn’t turn a corner without getting a huge waft of it, and my boyfriend admitted to drowning himself in it back in the day lol. I love the original, and this summer version is so refreshing. I bought this in Brighton in the blazing sunshine and it smelt so good on ‘a day in the sun’ skin. It’s described as a citrus aromatic scent thats clean, fresh and easy to wear. Although this is a unisex fragrance I do think it’s more on the masculine side, but I love it none the less and find it a perfect pick me up when its warm!
Top Notes – Guava, Watermelon, Pear, Mandarin and Kaffir lime leaves.
Heart notes – Violet leaves, Marigold, Verbena and Water Lily.
Base notes – Vetyver, Patchouli and Cedar Wood.

The Body Shop, Love Etc.
I first smelt this a while ago and loved it but knowing that The Body Shop EDTs don’t tend to stick around too long I didn’t bother with one. Not so long ago they brought out Love Etc. in an EDP version, and when TBS had their bank holiday sale I slipped one in my basket =). A very uplifting easy to wear scent, I can’t see anyone not liking this. Its non offensive, pretty and very summery and the new EDP formula does last very well… Putting my dirty clothes into the washing machine I get wafts of this from 2 day old t shirts =P.
Top Notes – Pear, Neroli, Bergamot
Heart Notes – Jasmine, Heliotrope, Lily of the valley
Base Notes – Vanilla, Sandalwood, Creamy musk

Davidoff, Echo Woman
This has been one of my favourite scents for a long time and is my favourite perfume on a summers eve. The bottle is very girly and small enough to slip into your bag. A fun & fruity floral, this one ALWAYS gets me compliments!

Heart Notes – Iris Pulp & Osmanthus Flower
Base Notes – Cristal Amber and Violet Wood.

I never think to get different fragrances for summer, but I am loving Pacifica's solid perfume in the Brazilian Mango Grapefruit

I remember CK1 being HUGE back in my school days when it was launched! Reminds me of being a teenager again, that and Tommy! (girl and boy)
For the summer, I love Clarins Eau Dynamisante, and Dior Dolce Vita, though I don't really have a perfume wardrobe… I have TONS (due to working on a fragrance counter a few years ago). Another fave is Chanel number 19, which I love and Floris Gardenia, even though both smell a bit granny-ish!
yup, same here. all the boys were drenched in CK1 & Joop! haha, takes me right back =D
I like Clarins fragrances, I've got the new sunshine fragrance its gorgeous, quite similar to the CK summer actually but with more of a grapefruity note xxx

I'm such a perfume n00b and I just have the same sorts of perfumes year round =/ but I do rotate body sprays that I keep in my purse/bag!
get spritzing! But saying that, I LOVE Impulse bodysprays =D x
