Illamasqua haul!

I’m back! Sorry for the short hiatus, personal issues sometimes get in the way of blogging but I’m back now and have lots planned

As soon as I heard about the Illamasqua Skin Base foundation I desperately wanted to get my hands on it, it sounded exactly what I was looking for in a foundation and I needed a new eyeliner so that’s how this accidental haul came about.

Absolutely love this! I suits my colouring so well, and it has more slip and it slightly sheerer then the other Illamasqua cream blushers I own which makes it a lot more wearable as I don’t have to spend as much time blending and applying.
I’ve had everything a little while now so I’m able to give a short review on everything -

Sue Moxley 48hour giveaway!

Hey dudes, as a little thank you for all your support, esp. as I haven’t been blogging much lately I want to do a lil giveaway with this gorgeous lil Famous by Sue Moxley palette =D
I’m not sure if the brand has been completely discontinued, it used to be in my local Superdrug but it’s not there anymore =0/. I picked this up along with a few others at a discount store and tbh I don’t think I will ever use it! It was purchased in factory sealed condition, and I have just opened it for pics (the actual products have not been opened). I didn’t want it to go to waste, so if you would like your chance to win it just simply comment with your name & email adress (only 1 entry each please) and I will pick a winner using random.org at 7.30pm Tuesday =D

So up for grabs is the Famous by Sue Moxley Premiere Perfection eye, lips & face kit! Comprising of a volumising mascara (4ml), Paparazzi pout clear lipgloss (6ml) & a light concealer (6ml). On the website this had an RRP of £16!
I’m also throwing in 3 samples of the Estee Lauder …

cosmetics-skincare.co.uk MAC haul (& Collection 2000)

Hey Krusty Krabs =D

In a recent post I told you all about a fab big brand discount website Cosmetics Skincare which sells MAC, Estee Lauder, Benefit and many other famous names at knock down prices. When I saw the site myself I did have the odd niggle about the products not being genuine but there are alot of factors to think about when it comes to dodgy goods. IMO the seller has too many products for them all to be fakes, because I for one have never seen fake Benefit lipsticks?! Myself and a few other bloggers emailed the owner (Laura Duncan) asking if her stock was all authentic and of course she mailed back and swore blind it all was. Still suspicious, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited until my order had arrived. It came yesterday but I was busy (lol Bicky) when the postman knocked so I had to go and collect it today and I’m really pleased! Everything seems genuine, the boxes, the packaging and the products themselves are just like my shop-bought MAC items.

Mineral Criminal?

Hey muff puffs =D

I’ve seen alot of posts since being a blogette on mineral makeup, mainly foundation and think its about time I jumped on the kabuki buffed bandwagon! Nearly all cosmetic houses have their own version of mineral makeup, ranging from cheapies like NYC, E.L.F, Rimmel etc. to more expensive designer brands like Estee Lauder, Bare Minerals and most recently MAC. I have very oily skin (you could fry an egg on my chin!) and have been told my countless make up assistants that mineral is the way forward but have always opted for the safer, liquid formulas. One of the major turn-offs for me is the difference in shades, they seemed to run alot darker… and even the lighest shade was too dark =0/.

When the mineral sensation hit the chemist shelves one of the first high street brands to bring one out was good old Revlon. It was the ‘ColorStay Mineral Foundation’ and had the brush built into the lid, in shade ‘Fair’. My first thoughts were *OMG this brush is going to cut my face to pieces!* the brush was soooo rough =0/. I don’t know if they’ve changed it since then, as we are …
