Falsies Action

Carrying on from my last post, I had a little play with my falsies today and have to say I think I’m now a little addicted! I was always too shy to use false lashes, not only was they expensive they seemed quite fiddly and I thought I would never be able to put them on properly! I have never worn falsies before, so I have nothing to compare these too nor do I have any technique tips I just literally stuck them on lol.

I trimmed 2 clumps of lashes off eash strip in the inner sections as I found it looked really fake and the strip wouldn’t lay on my eye properly, plus there was no hairs for the lashes to cling so they strip kept on kind of springing up =0/. No big deal though, I often hear you should trim the lashes to shape your eye =). I found application quite easy, a bit fiddly but not as bad as I thought! I am really pleased with the results, I love the way they look and wish I had started using falsies sooner. I would not hesitate in buying from Eyelashes Direct again, once I’ve really gotten the hang off application I will branch out and start using fancier pairs but for now the bargain lashes are fab!

Keep in mind this was my first time using them, so they aren’t perfect… I used ‘842′ from the bargain basement section of the site =P

Tada!

I used Bourjois Volume Clubbing mascara to blend my lashes with the falsies, a slick of ELF liquid liner & MAC Aquadisiac eyeshadow with Urban Decay Half Baked in the crease. Also used a kajal on my waterline.

What do you think? I think they’re only slightly longer than my natural lashes but they make me ‘feel’ pretty if that makes sense =)

If you guys have any application techniques/tips for me please leave a comment and let me know!

can i just ask, did you use the glue from the same website? and does it stay on for long?

    • sorry i shouldve added that in the post, I used the glue from the website (the 60p glue!) and its pretty good stuff, i wore them out to Tesco (glam lol) and its pretty windy and theyve lasted pretty well! It took a fair bit of tugging to get them off =D xxx

omg i love it, have i said i loved it? no i didnt, did it:
    i love it xx ^_^

    • thank you sweetie =)
I put it in the post, it was no. 842 from the bargain section BUT you can get like 40 sets of eyelashes for £3 or something silly from hong kong via eBay!
Ive just bought some DUO lash adhesive, as its supposed to be the best lash glue in the world!
I did fail a bit BUT i remembered a few main tips, wait til the glue is tacky and push the lashes back with your little finger =)
cant wait to try some different styles! xxx

They look really natural… well, as natural as you want falsies to look. Ah, I know what I mean! I take a crappy little paintbrush and paint the glue right next to my lashes and then place the lashes on the glue – it means you don't stick the eyelashes anywhere else and there's no 'gap.' Again, thankyou so much for that site!

    • thank you, I was going for a natural pair as we needed to go to Tesco LOL
with the left side i put the glue directly onto my lashes not the falsies and they stuck together and looked crap, hence why i only took a pic of my right eye LOL but practice makes perfect and I know not to do that again! did you place an order? xxx

      • Robyn says:

I did place an order! I bought mostly crazy lashes like the big flared pink and purple ones – they normally cost about £7 for one pair, so I a few crazy ones and a couple 'black' ones. And don't put the glue on your actual lashes, put it on the lid next to your lashes – I used to put glue on my lashes and it pulled them out :|

        • wicked! cant wait to see you in them =)
tried on a longer pair 2day, was a bit of a fail, ive just ordered that Ardell lash applicator thingy should make it a bit easier! xx

Haven't had much chance to wear them yet, and they obviously hate my glasses lol.

This is really great for your first time using them, my first time. . . I gave up after trying to get one on haha.

Your eye makeup looks gorgeous too :)
    xxx

    • there the ones i was looking at, for £9 or something? do you have a pic of them?
aww thank you, watched a few application vids alot are saying to put the glue on your lashline with an eyeliner brush instead of putting the glue directly onto the falsies…! will try it 2moro =D
thank you, it was just a rush job lol xxx

Dang those false lashes look really really natural on you. I was looking at the picture wondering how you got your natural lashes to grow so long hehe. This is a beautiful color combination!!

What a great post! I noticed you mentioned that strip lashes can look a bit "fake" – you can always try individuals, they always look great – bit fiddly to apply though. You can find individual lashes from brands like Eylure here: http://www.beautyy.co.uk
