Escentual.com haul

Escentual.com is probably my favourite online shop for when I need a designer fix, with prices cheaper then RRP and an excellent customer services team I found myself making a cheeky purchase the other night. I desperately need a new bronzer, I’ve watched so many contouring videos I really want to perfect the technique and the blushers/bronzers I have are either too glittery or not quite the right shade. Having heard soo many good things about the Dior Matte spf20 range I had to have one, also on my lip balm quest I noticed Escentual stock the much hyped Jack Black lip balm so of course I had to have one…. The other stuff just kind of jumped in my basket… Oops.

Dior Bronze Matte Sunshine spf20  (001 healthy) £28.50

For a safe and magnificent tan, Dior Bronze introduces Matte Sunshine SPF 20, the first Dior bronzing powder that protects and cares for the skin.

Ideal for normal to combination skin, it offers:

- A matte, even tan for beautiful and shine-free skin;

- Optimum SPF 20 sun protection;

- Water-resistant formula for long wear and flawless finish.

Instant love! I’d heard nothing but good things about the natural effect of this bronzer. I chose the lightest shade as I’m so fair, and even though it is very natural I can build it up if I want for a deeper tan shade. Excellent for contouring, soft, finely milled and amazing quality as you would expect from Dior. I can see myself getting alot of use from this and I’m very glad I picked it up.

Crabtree & Evelyn Jojoba Traveller £10.16

- 50ml Moisturising Body Wash
- 50ml Moisturising Body Lotion
- 50ml Shampoo
- 50ml Conditioner

When I was in Brighton for the weekend I ended up purchasing a huge bottle of shower gel & body lotion because the hotel freebies were gross, lol. This set would come in very handy if I go away for a few days again, which is likely as I’m due for a business trip soon! I love Crabtree & Evelyn and at this price I just had to have it, even if I don’t go anywhere.

Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder (02 Rose Fraise Star) £40.85

The complexion perfecting technology of Guerlain Meteorites in a pressed powder.

Your skin’s natural radiance is accentuated, imperfections are concealed and your complexion is mattified.

Different shades of the sparkling, multicoloured micro-particles are divided into two halves of the compact for differing effects. One side lifts and illuminates the complexion, whilst the other evens it out and hides imperfections.

Each shade of compact has a different coloured pearl at its centre for specific results; the green pearl reduces redness, the white pearl brightens and freshens the complexion, whilst the purple brightens as it unifies.

This just kind of happened to find itself in my basket…! I’ve been lusting after this powder for a while and thought what the hell. It’s now showing as out of stock & discontinued so I’m not sure where you can get them from but I’m really glad I got it when I did. Every highlight powder I’ve tried before has either been too powdery and not really done anything or too glittery. This seems like a perfect blend of subtle shimmers, just enough to catch the light and it looks so pretty in the pan!

Vichy Dermablend Dermasmooth Corrective Foundation (15 Opal) £15.50

A high coverage foundation for use on even the most sensitive and fragile skin.

The super formulation contains the unique association of a high concentration of high-coverage pigments and an ultra-supple texture for flawless 12-hour coverage with no mask-like effect.

Instantly, skin irregularities are perfectly concealed, without leaving make-up line or cakiness. The complexion is even and radiant; the skin is supple and comfortable.

The formulation is perfectly malleable and ultra-easy to blend into the skin. It glides on and can be distributed evenly, offering maximum colour dispersion.

Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, oil-free, non-acnegenic, fragrance-free, SPF11

I hate my skin and have to have a decent coverage foundation, having tried many (and hating most!) this was one I’ld often heard alot about but found it hard to track down. Heard alot of good things so can’t wait to try this out properly! One thing I really hate about high coverage foundations is the heavy, greasy feel and I really hope this doesn’t leave my skin feeling like an oily mess.

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm £7.25

Enriched with natural mint, avocado oil, shea butter and green tea, this emollient balm immediately soothes and relieves dry, chapped, irritated lips.

Plus, the moisturizing SPF 25 formula helps protect against sun and windburn.

Fragrance-free. Colorant-free. PABA-free.

How do I use it:

Apply to lips whenever they feel dry or chapped.

Apply before going out in the sun to protect against damaging UVA & UVB rays.

Whats in it:

UVA and UVB absorbers (Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Avobenzone (Parsol 1789)

Natural Mint

Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and Lanolin to soften and condition lips

Vitamin E and Green Tea Extract, anti-oxidants to help protect lips from damage caused by UV-induced free radicals.

I first heard about this on Temptalia, and tried looking for it everywhere but the only place I could get it from was on eBay.com from Hong Kong…! Erm…. That seems a bit dodgy to me, so I was delighted to see it on Escentual for such a low price. I’ve never heard of this brand before, what with it being so hard to get here in the UK and the fact it’s aimed at men. Instant love, this lives up to all the hype and has sorted my dry lips out within an evening. I might order the lemon one too =)

I love all my purchases and urge you to check out Escentual.com if you haven’t already! They always get new collections in which are often hard to find on these shores such as Too Faced, Guerlain & Dior etc. and not only do they offer free delivery on all orders over £40 they have the one of the best customer services team I have ever come across. I really can’t recommended the site highly enough, and look forward to making my Summer fragrance order!

Wooow fancy haul! :D I need to find myself a matte bronzer, but even at a reduced price that DIor is way out of my range :(

I agree, Dior is quite pricey BUT I've wasted twice that amount looking for something like the Dior so I thought what the hell and just bought it. I know it will get alot of use and it is a very high quality product. I don't know if I'm just trying to justify it to myself but that's my excuse, lol xxx

The Guerlain meteorite powder looks so pretty ! If I had one I wouldn't dare using it for fear of ruining the look of it !

    • secretbeautyblo says:

      That's what I'm scared of too…! x

yea it's like those LE collectors things, the palettes/packages etc are so pretty you just want to put them in a window display and never ever use them/handle them for fear of damage/scratches etc :(
