Lush 9 to 5 Cleanser Review

Released last week, I got my hands on the new Lush 9 to 5 cleanser as soon as it hit the shops!

”Like Dolly says, 9 to 5 is quite the way to make a living. It can take its toll on the skin and leave you looking like she might without the cosmetic procedures. This is a gentle liquid cleanser made with almond oil, an extract of dove orchids and everlasting flower absolute. Orchids and everlasting flower soothe and clean the skin thoroughly with a mild antibacterial action, and almond gives you a silky smooth feeling. It’s great for taking off stubborn make-up and gives a fresh feeling after use.”

Its about time Lush brought out a heavy duty cleanser! I’ve been using this ever since I got it and I am very impressed. I wear alot of heavy foundation (ColorStay) aswell as high coverage powder so as you can imagine it does take some work to get it all off. I normally use Cliniques ‘Take The Day Off’ MU remover on a facial wipe, and it does do the job BUT it leaves my face feeling horrible and greasy =0/

The Lush cleanser is a great all rounder, I personally use this as a pre-cleanse MU remover and it leaves my face feeling baby bum soft! It seems to ‘melt’ my base & mascara, leaving my skin crystal clear and not a panda eye in sight. It smells beautiful,  like an Olay moisturiser and feels cooling on the skin so perfect for a morning cleanse routine. The thing I love most about this cleanser is the fact my face doesn’t feel so greasy and I *could* go without my usual face wash routine if in a hurry… It’s that good.

Highly recommended, very similar effects to the wonderful Estee Lauder ‘Take It Away‘ MU remover but with a much smaller price tag!

£3.95  for 95g

£7. 95 for 240g

Available at Lush & Lush.co.uk

The whole time I was writing this post I had this in my head…. Enjoy =)

I've been looking for a good cleanser… so many I've tried just seem to do bugger all and leave me feelinfg really dry… plus I'm a lush virgin and I think its time I popped my cherry, so I'm gonna try this!

Sounds interesting. My Aveda cleanser is coming to and end so this is something to consider. Does it foam up or is it literally like a lotion on the face?

I'm going to pick this up, or a sample of it atleast.

By which I mean, lock your doors ;)
