Origins skincare haul

After hearing soo many positive reviews on Origins skincare I deceided to take the plunge and get myself a whole new skincare regime. I’m a bit naughty and chop and change my skincare ALOT, being a blogger and seeing all the new exciting ranges that come out doesn’t help, but I need to stick to one regime and really see if it works for me. So from Monday all I’ve been using and will be using for at least 6 weeks is the Origins Zero Oil range.

I had a look at the Origins website before going to John Lewis yesterday and having a look, I find it easier to browse online and read reviews rather then standing there being given ‘advice’ from an over enthusiastic SA. My skin is really oily, I have tried ALOT of different oil-reducing treatments, washes and the like and while some have been successful I have never found a full regime I can stick to. I quite liked the Clinique 3 step but announcing that on Twitter caused quite a stir, and after learning more about the actual ingredients the masses were correct, and the 3 step system was was too harsh and literally stripping my skin. My main concern is oil control, my mum has very oily skin too so I know where I get it from and it is the bane of my life. I don’t step out the door without a powder compact.

So enter my new skincare regime -

Zero Oil  – Deep pore cleanser with Saw Palmetto and Mint 15.00

Zero Oil – Pore purifiying toner with Saw Palmetto and Mint £15.00

Zero Oil – Oile-free moisture lotion with Saw Palmetto and Mint £21.00

and as an extra treatment to help fight the grease Zero Oil – Instant matte finish for shiny places £11.00

The range smells so good! Like a minty soapy mouthwash =)

So far so good, my face feels really clean using the wash & toner combo and I’ve heard ALOT of good things about the instant matte finish which will hopefully keep my super oily chin in check. I will also be using my ARK exfoliator as a weekly treatment mask and my Liz Earle Spot On for any pesky spots but other then that this is all I will be using, so don’t expect anymore skincare reviews on my blog for a while!

I will update if I notice any significant changes and I’m determined to stick to this and see if it benefits my skin and lives up to all the positive reviews I’ve read. Obviously if it breaks me out or after a few weeks I feel it’s not doing anything I will update and let you know, wish me luck!

I purchased all my Origins goodies from John Lewis Oxford Street, the SA was a bit scary, but gave me a few samples of the GinZing eye cream, which I have also heard alot about so will be giving that a go to. The whole range can be purchased on their website here.

Have you tried anything from Origins, what do you think?

I really like the Origins Cleansing Oil but the samples of other products I tried disappointed me. I think the preservatives and what not made my sensitive skin react :( Sad times :(

My eye cream sample hasn't finished yet and I've been using it religiously twice a day since I got it.

I didn't realise but I also had the scrub in the sample box too and I really need to start using a scrub again, I don't know what's wrong with me..the one thing I always used to have was a scrub and now I haven't had one in my cabinet for ages. This must be rectified.

I'm really liking the eye cream, I may have to get some. I find if I'm really tired and apply it at night it takes away that hot feeling, you know what I mean? Really impressed with my stuff so far, I really should listen to you more often! x
