My top 5 favourites from ELF

I have been really impressed with almost every ELF Studio makeup product I’ve tried, and at just £3.50 each you really can’t go wrong!

Translucent Matifying Powder -
This is one of my favourite ELF products ever and I have gone through 5 or 6 now. If you have oily skin you NEED this, it holds up the oil like no other powder I’ve tried and I always have one in my handbag for touch-ups throughout the day. Although the shade is ‘transluscent’ I find it matches my skintone perfectly and provides the best coverage I’ve seen from a powder. Whilst on holiday I wore this on it’s own as it was so hot, and it covered any redness/blemishes and didn’t feel as if it was clogging my pores. This has better coverage and lasting power then MAC Studio Fix IMO and at a quarter of the price! I can’t rave about this product enough, I love it and will repurchase over and over again, pictured is one of my backups, with daily use (and touch-ups) a compact usually lasts me 1-2 months. You also get a large …

Cherry Culture NYX haul

Sooooooooo Cherry Culture we’re having one of their fab sales, I think it was 25% off but I’m not too sure. All NYX was in the sale and the round lipsticks were just $1.99 so of course I had to snap them up! I also got a few eyeshadows, a blush and 2 cream blushers just because they were all so cheap…

So (not in order) I picked up the round lipsticks in Rose Bud, Athena, Sky Pink, Baby Pink, Chaos, Thalia, Jupiter, Sash & Ceto
Cream Blush in Tea Rose (left) & Golden
Blush in Nutmeg
Eyeshadows in Herb (left) & True Taupe
Heres a closer look at the lippies so you can see the shades, click to enlarge!

I already own a few NYX items, the famous jumbo pencils and a few lipsticks and I think the brand is fab for the money. It’s just a shame it’s not more easily available in the UK, most websites over here sell it for way above the RRP but cest la vie!
Do you own any NYX?

ELF Natural FOTD

For a natural look I sure used alot of stuff!

I wanted to keep it simple, and focus on my skin more than anything. I love the HD powder, it really adds that finishing touch. As my skin is oily, I used the matifying powder first and just a quick dusting of the HD powder once I had applied everything else.
For my base I used the ELF Mineral Infused Primer then I used Revlon Colorstay foundation, applied with the ELF Studio flat top kabuki style powder brush, then I used the ELF concealer/highlighter duo under my eyes (I dabbed them both and blended) then I applied the ELF Studio Matifying powder all over using the sponge provided (shock horror!). Then I used the ELF Blush/Bronze duo to slighty contour, as this product is SOO pigmented I used a very light hand! I used my Ms Makeup blusher brush (its quite stiff, which I like for contouring)

For my eyes I primed my lids with the ELF Primer then curled my lashes with the ELF mechanical curler and I used 2 shades from the Sparkle Eyes Beauty Encyclopedia, using the mushroom colour all over my lid then just a touch of …

The amazing ‘NARS Orgasm’ dupe for £1.99!

It was snowing quite heavily yesterday, bored at home me, my boyfriend and my mum took a walk to Tesco just round the corner. After seeing Jellymnx’s post on the fabulous illuminators she got from Wet n Wild I was gagging to have a look down the beauty aisle! My Tesco is quite big but they only carry half a shelf of Wet n Wild so my choice was quite limited but I did like the look of most of the offerings bar the lipsticks… they looked a bit tacky and I wouldnt wear the ‘Pat Butcher’ style colours my store had in stock. But apart from those, the rest of the range looked quite good! I picked up the Silk Powder blusher in Pearlescent Pink and the Cover All concealer in fair. When I got home I went straight on MUA (as u do!) to see what others think, and was quite shocked to see the blusher I had picked up was being hailed as a NARS Orgasm dupe! I’ve never actually tried Orgasm, I dont think I could spend that much money on a blusher to be honest! But I know alot of ladies LOVE it …
