I have a somewhat emotional attachment to Carolina Herrera 212 fragrances as the original ‘Ice’ variant was one of the first fragrances I ever purchased, I picked it up in the airport on my very first without-the-parents holiday to Greece at the tender age of 16. I absolutely adored it, the packaging was shocking pink and it smelled like a Summer holiday in a bottle. I was also a big fan of 212 Sexy for nights out, the sleek little round bottles were perfect for popping into your handbag and I used to liberally spritz myself on every toilet break, choking out everyone in the cubicles. All the 212 fragrances have this amazing off-musk scent that’s hard to describe yet very unique, and 212 POP! samples the same notes but with a delicate breeze of citrus making it lighter, and perfect for the warmer months.
Housed in funky, faux-ice cube the packaging screams Summer and the bright pink bottles are perfectly cute and girly. I love how the bottles are small and portable, there’s nothing worse then lugging a huge bottle of perfume around with you! If your familiar with the 212 scent this doesn’t fair too far off from …

My boyfriend has his moments with his beauty products, I’m always buying him lotions and potions and every now and again he has a big pampering session. The face scrub I got him way back when we first started going out (3 years ago) is still 3/4 full, much like the other face products he has gathered from Christmases and birthdays. The only products he really gets excited about (and uses!) is fragrance. He gives anything a go scent wise, but his all time favourite is the chav choice Issey Miyake, closely followed by Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet.
On being presented with Boss Orange he didn’t think it was Hugo Boss as the bottle was square, and not round like most Hugo fragrances. He loves the feel of the bottle, he found it sturdy and comfortable to hold unlike some fragrances where you need two hands to use it. He loves the look of the bottle, with the ‘6 pac’ pattern and the bold square shape with chrome decoration he has it proudly displayed on his shelf and has no qualms about getting it out in public! With top notes of crisp apple there is a slight whiff of DKNY …

I don’t normally have soo many scents on rotation, I normally just have 1 or 2 and use them to death but since it’s just after Christmas a lot of these were gifts or sale purchases. I really like fresh/musk/floral fragrances over deeper, gourmand orientals but I will sniff anything once!
Starting from the back -
Jennifer Lopez ‘Glow’ – from £13.00
This takes me straight back to high school every time I smell it. I picked this up in the Debenhams sale as it was a bargain at just £13 for 50ml. It’s very musky, with a fresh baby powder burst and it lasts on the skin for hours. I normally hate celebrity fragrances but I really like this.
Calvin Klein ‘Beauty’ – from £30
I purchased the giftset un-sniffed in the Boots sale and really regret it. I normally love all Calvin Klein fragrances but this just doesn’t do it for me. It’s very heavy and the cederwood basenote feels like it makes a beeline for my brain and gives me a headache. Another one that lasts and lasts on the skin, if you like that sort of thing.
Harajuku Lovers ‘Music’ – from £17.00
This to me smells just like Marc Jacobs ‘Daisy’! Fresh, …

Ultra-feminine, glamorous and excessive…The Lady Million woman embodies the ideal woman. No man can resist her and the best won’t ever be enough for her!
Indeed…!
If you know (and love) the male countrpart this will be right up your street! I adore the original ‘1 Million’ but unfortunately my boyfriend doesn’t share my enthusiasm so I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to try Lady Million. I don’t know about you but I don’t like the idea of wearing mens fragrance, I don’t know why, I just don’t.
I’m also not too keen on the packaging, to me it just seems cheap and is quite difficult to spray on, you have to hold the base with your fingers and spray the whole of the top with your thumb. It’s a bit awkward and I prefer a more traditional bottle shape. It also sits at a funny angle as the bottom is a diamond shape so it can’t sit flat. Hmmm. The liquid inside is yellow, well yellow gold which reminds me of a really strong old lady scent. No not that, I mean something like Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers, ewww! Not …

Hi dudes, hope you’re all having a fab weekend! I rode my new bike for the first time today and OH MY… I didn’t realise just how unfit I am, damn. We only cycled a mile or so but I was puffed out, my legs were aching and my eyes were watering like a mother! Anyway, riding on the Alice In Wonderland theme I thought I’ld tell you about one of my favourite perfumes, Lolita Lempicka.
Just how whimsical and fairy-like is this bottle? Gorgeous!
It smells so unique, its one of those ‘people know what your wearing’ scents but surprisingly it’s not a very well known fragrance. When people ask me what I’m wearing and I tell them I get that ‘huh?’ kinda look, even though Lolita Lempicka was launched way back when in 1997. Im really surprised as it is such a pretty, easy to wear fragrance and has the novelty value similar to Vera Wang’s Princess (but IMO a hell of a lot nicer).
With notes consisting of ivy leaves, licorice flower, anise seed, amarena cherry, violets, iris, vanilla, praline, tonka bean, vetiver and musk, Lolita Lempicka creates an interesting warm & deep aura alluring you in …

Dont you just love remembering those days as a little girl when you used to watch your mum/sister getting ready for a big night out and spraying themselves with a classic scent… and smelling that same scent years later and it sparking those precious memories.. Or that familiar warm buzz you get when you smell your best friends fragrance? Those are signature scents! My mums hasn’t changed, she still LOVES Lagerfield Sun, Moon & Stars ans the ghastly Estee Lauder Youth Dew =D
I have yet to find my signature, having such a varied taste in fragrance. I have gone through the Thierry Mugler Angel stage and gassed out everyone within a 5 mile radius and also used to douse myself healvy in DKNY Woman purely because a guy on my first ever night out told me I smelt lovely, like his ‘Gilette deodorant’ LOL =D.
Having such a promiscuous nose I have had many a bottle of perfume in my time but would love to have that one scent that I could make my own….
Heres my all time top 5 fragrances:
1. Philosophy Amazing Grace. I adore the clean, cotton sweet smell of this luxe fragrance. Beautiful & extremely easy …

I absolutely love YSL Parisienne! I was lucky enough to get it for Christmas and I’ve been wearing it every day since, which is quite rare for me! I loved it from the first spritz in my local department store which again is quite rare. I normlly um and ah before buying a fragrance, as I get bored of them soooo quickly! Parisienne is apparently a ‘modern version’ of the much loved original Paris and I can detect acute similarities but I must admit im not a fan of Paris! The opening note is a gorgeous burst of fruity berries (cranberry, blackberry) then it dies down almost instantly into a soft sandalwood with just a hint of musk. The lasting power is amazing, I can still smell it on my scarf which I havent worn in 3 days…! The bottle looks lovely on my dressing table, the pink/purple hues very ladylink and feminine. Alot of people would say this isnt a ‘winter’ scent as such but when it smells this good who cares?
Whats your current fragrance fave?
