Nicki Minaj MAC Pink 4 Friday Lipstick

So I just read booty poppin’ Nicki Minaj is running a collaboration with MAC and will be releasing an exclusive ‘Pink 4 Friday’ lipstick. Apparently it will be a Barbie fuschia bright pink, like a mix of Pink Nouveau and Girl About Town. It will be relased on Nov. 26 in the US and will only be available online for four consecutive Fridays.
If I get any more details, I’ll let you know!
I don’t think us UK girls will be getting it though…..

Clarins Barocco for Holiday 2010

The most gorgeous holiday collection I have seen has to be these beauties from Clarins. The sleek, heavy & expensive looking packaging would really make a lovely gift, and the actual products are just as pretty!

In the collection we have from L-R

”An ultra soft, silky light compact powder in a shade combination of peachy pink and peachy
beige that’s perfect for illuminating the complexion and gives skin a soft air-brushed matte
finish. A precious face powder pressed and embossed with a sophisticated scroll design and
presented in an elegant black lacquer and pale gold compact that also features the collections
signature scroll motif.”
Barocco Rouge Prodige Black Tulip lipstick £16

”Rouge Prodige benefits from all the latest innovations to create a texture that finally gives women what they have always wanted: lasting-hold, intense colour, incredible shine and comfort too. It stays flawless for hours and hours..”

My top 5 favourites from ELF

I have been really impressed with almost every ELF Studio makeup product I’ve tried, and at just £3.50 each you really can’t go wrong!

Translucent Matifying Powder -
This is one of my favourite ELF products ever and I have gone through 5 or 6 now. If you have oily skin you NEED this, it holds up the oil like no other powder I’ve tried and I always have one in my handbag for touch-ups throughout the day. Although the shade is ‘transluscent’ I find it matches my skintone perfectly and provides the best coverage I’ve seen from a powder. Whilst on holiday I wore this on it’s own as it was so hot, and it covered any redness/blemishes and didn’t feel as if it was clogging my pores. This has better coverage and lasting power then MAC Studio Fix IMO and at a quarter of the price! I can’t rave about this product enough, I love it and will repurchase over and over again, pictured is one of my backups, with daily use (and touch-ups) a compact usually lasts me 1-2 months. You also get a large …

Delicious D&G

So I’ve been lusting after the D&G nude palette after seeing Lorraine Stanick praising it up in one of her videos and stalking the D&G website daily. Although I live fairly close to central London I HATE going uptown if I don’t really need to. The tube is horrible, cramped and stinky and I always get super stressed… But alas, I braved the crowds with my boyfriend and skipped merrily into Harrods to the D&G counter =)
The SA was very keen, and couldn’t help me enough. Although I wish she had left me alone to have a play, instead of playing  jack in the box behind the stand =0/ I had a good swatch of the nude palette but this lil beauty is definately more me! The Mediterraneo quad is the perfect neutral eye palette, the gold is simply stunning! I also picked up the Classic Cream lipstick in Nude because I’m a sucker for a nude lippie and this doesn’t disappoint.

So what do you think?
At £35 for the quad and £20 for the lipstick they don’t come cheap. I am so impressed with the quality, and everything about the line just screams luxury. This is the start …

Boots 17 Mirror Shine Lipsticks

It seems these little bright tubes of goodness have caused quite a stir, and rightly so! They are like a cross between a gloss and a lipstick – the sheer colour and shine of a gloss but the staying power and comfort of a lippie. I’m not a big fan of lipgloss, especially the gloopy sticky ones but I love the way they make less then perfect lips look amazing with no effort. As you can imagine, these sounded right up my street, especially the much-hyped Beehive.

L-R Hollywood – Beehive – Belle
I was lucky enough to recieve Beehive & Hollywood in a competition giftbag from 17 =)
Beehive is gorgeous, and definately one I would’ve purchased myself. The perfect pinky nude that goes with absolutely everything and I can imagine looks good on most skintones.
Hollywood is not one I would’ve picked but I’m glad I have it in my collection, it gives a rosy stain rather than a scary full on statement lip!
Belle is v.similar to Beehive IMO. It’s another very easily wearable shade, slightly more pink but just as gorgeous.

Swatches in the same order:
Beehive – Hollywood – Belle
What I love most about these is the fact they don’t …

Cherry Culture NYX haul

Sooooooooo Cherry Culture we’re having one of their fab sales, I think it was 25% off but I’m not too sure. All NYX was in the sale and the round lipsticks were just $1.99 so of course I had to snap them up! I also got a few eyeshadows, a blush and 2 cream blushers just because they were all so cheap…

So (not in order) I picked up the round lipsticks in Rose Bud, Athena, Sky Pink, Baby Pink, Chaos, Thalia, Jupiter, Sash & Ceto
Cream Blush in Tea Rose (left) & Golden
Blush in Nutmeg
Eyeshadows in Herb (left) & True Taupe
Heres a closer look at the lippies so you can see the shades, click to enlarge!

I already own a few NYX items, the famous jumbo pencils and a few lipsticks and I think the brand is fab for the money. It’s just a shame it’s not more easily available in the UK, most websites over here sell it for way above the RRP but cest la vie!
Do you own any NYX?

ELF Natural FOTD

For a natural look I sure used alot of stuff!

I wanted to keep it simple, and focus on my skin more than anything. I love the HD powder, it really adds that finishing touch. As my skin is oily, I used the matifying powder first and just a quick dusting of the HD powder once I had applied everything else.
For my base I used the ELF Mineral Infused Primer then I used Revlon Colorstay foundation, applied with the ELF Studio flat top kabuki style powder brush, then I used the ELF concealer/highlighter duo under my eyes (I dabbed them both and blended) then I applied the ELF Studio Matifying powder all over using the sponge provided (shock horror!). Then I used the ELF Blush/Bronze duo to slighty contour, as this product is SOO pigmented I used a very light hand! I used my Ms Makeup blusher brush (its quite stiff, which I like for contouring)

For my eyes I primed my lids with the ELF Primer then curled my lashes with the ELF mechanical curler and I used 2 shades from the Sparkle Eyes Beauty Encyclopedia, using the mushroom colour all over my lid then just a touch of …
