Lush Snow Fairy!

Certain things make it feel like Christmas, for me it’s the Coca Cola adverts, giftsets in Boots and Lush Snow Fairy =)
The sweet smelling pink frothy bottles of goodness have been back in Lush for a couple of weeks now and I snapped up a small bottle straight away, I usually get the big one for Christmas so I got a small one to keep me going. I did have the perfume solid released last year but I found the scent way too overpowering as an actual fragrance, it gave me a headache! But if you’re a big fan of Snow Fairy you will love it. I do love the shower gel but the perfume was just a little too much!
Here I have rounded up all the Snow Fairy treats, although some aren’t officially ‘Snow Fairy’ they do carry the same scent IMO.

Snow Fairy shower gel -
100g -£3.25
250g -£5.95
500g – £9.95
Bubblegum lip scrub – £4.50
Snow Fairy lip tint – £3.95
Rockstar soap – 100g – £2.90
I love the shower gel, it foams up well and leaves my skin feeling really soft. I’ve also used it as a shampoo and found it worked really well too!
The lip tint is very …

Lush 9 to 5 Cleanser Review

Released last week, I got my hands on the new Lush 9 to 5 cleanser as soon as it hit the shops!

”Like Dolly says, 9 to 5 is quite the way to make a living. It can take its toll on the skin and leave you looking like she might without the cosmetic procedures. This is a gentle liquid cleanser made with almond oil, an extract of dove orchids and everlasting flower absolute. Orchids and everlasting flower soothe and clean the skin thoroughly with a mild antibacterial action, and almond gives you a silky smooth feeling. It’s great for taking off stubborn make-up and gives a fresh feeling after use.”

Its about time Lush brought out a heavy duty cleanser! I’ve been using this ever since I got it and I am very impressed. I wear alot of heavy foundation (ColorStay) aswell as high coverage powder so as you can imagine it does take some work to get it all off. I normally use Cliniques ‘Take The Day Off’ MU remover on a facial wipe, and it does do the job BUT it leaves my face feeling horrible and greasy =0/
The Lush …

Lush release ‘foundation’!!!!!!!!!

Attention Lush lovers, your favourite bath bomb chefs have cooked up a ‘Colour Supplement Multi-Purpose base colour’.  This little jar can be used as a foundation, tinted moisturiser, a concealer & a primer. Lush have released this at the perfect time, as everyone seems to be on the hunt for a lightweight base for summer!
Lush recommend you mix this with your favourite moisturiser for a sheer look or on its as for more moderate coverage. Personally I would use this as a primer underneath my MAC Studio Fix powder as I like quite a bit of coverage (yes, even in summer!) They cater for a vast spectrum of skintones and are available in 4 shades: Light Pink, Dark Pink, Light Yellow & Dark Yellow. As with most Lush products, they are vegan friendly and NOT tested on animals. I’m going to grab one tomorrow so look out for a review!
Ingredients:
Fresh Rose Petal Infusion (Rosa damascena), Soya Oil (Glycine soja), Rice Bran Oil (Oryza sativa), Titanium Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Talc, Glycerine, Triethanolamine, Colour 77492, Cetearyl Alcohol, Colour 77499, Colour 77494, Methylparaben, Propylparaben}
Lush say…
Made with soya and rice bran oils to care for all skin types, mix into your …

My Skin Savior! Lush CoalFace Review

It’s big. It’s bad. It’s a tad smelly. It doesn’t take any rubbish! It’s Lush CoalFace facial soap!

I had a really bad breakout a week or so ago, I think it was because of that horrid Maybelline foundation =0/. My skin was a big greasy mess, you know those painful ‘under the skin’ spots that form big lumps? Yuk. I even missed out on a night out because I felt so hideous with my bad skin, even layers of foundation couldn’t make it look better, if anything it highlighted the big mountains on my face!

My Estee Lauder cleanser didn’t seem to help (it’s quite rich) and I didn’t want to keep sloughing at face with scrubs as it was becoming quite sensitive =(. To cheer me up my boyfriend took me on a day out uptown and we had a lil look in Lush. I remembered the reviews for CoalFace being very positive for oily/blemished skin so I picked up a huge chunk! The bar is HUGE! Very good value for money at just £4.15 this will last me ages, even with twice-daily use.

So, I took my makeup off as normal with my EL make up remover and …

Payday wishlist….! Meep Meep! (squealing money-spending happy noise)

Pahahahah so the show was a bit pants, it was OK, but not as AMAZE as it was hyped up to be. The stretchly skin man wasn’t there, and it wasn’t as gory as what I thought it would be but it was still pretty good and we had a great night =D. Soooooooo last months moolah was taken up by buying Christmas presents (boo!) and I hardly bought myself any goodies so this month its all about ME! Wooooooooooo! Haha, heres a lil list of the things I will be probobly buying when I get paid…..

1. NARS lipgloss! (£17.50. Hqhair.com) I’m torn between Orgasm, Harlow & Turkish Delight?! HELP! After hearing so many good things about them I really want one… and again Carrsky was an influence! I saw a double ended version which had Orgasm & Hustler on eBay but I’m extremely wary of buying from eBay as there are so many fakes…..

2. Urban Decay Zero Deluxe Eyeshadow (£12. Hqhair.com) Everyone needs a black eyeshadow, I’ve been using the same Max Factor one for about 10 years now (no joke) and I think its time I treated myself to a new one… lol!

3. Lush ‘Cupcake’ Face …

Lush in the slush

Soooooooooooooooooooooo the snow is starting to lay off a little and slush down (thank god!) so I’ve finally ventured out the front door with my lovely =D. Its my good friends birthday tomorrow so we thought we’d take a stroll into town and get her a pressie. Had a lil look around, not much left of the sale swag, Boots has been cleaned out along with The Body Shop (I did grab some stuff in the online sale, I’ll blog when they arrive =P) but Lush was still choc-full of giftset goodies! Im not really the biggest Lush fan as I’m always left disappointed with my purchases and I do think its all a bit gimmicky (read: OVERPRICED) what with the shelf life etc. and I HATE the way the sales girls jump on you as if you was a big walking twenty pound note! Anywhoo! I got my friend the gorgeous ‘Wild Child’ giftset which includes ‘Up You Gets Emotibomb’, ‘Whipstick Lip Balm, ‘Rock Star Soap’ ‘Yummy Yummy Yummy Shower Cream’ & the ‘Sugar Babe Sugar Scrub’. All great value for just £16.95 =D. I took it to the till and the sales lady informed me of …
