I actually came about ‘Beach’ by accident, I ordered a couple of the new Revlon scented polishes as they had an offer on (2 for £8 from Boots.com) and I ordered Mad about Mango & Ocean Breeze but got sent Pretty in Papaya & Beach instead….? I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of arguing it so just kept them, and for the money it was no big loss and I actually LOVE Pretty in Papaya! Beach wouldn’t be my usual choice, but I thought I would try it out and as I thought, with my skintone the lime green/gold tone looked hideous but under the crackle polish the result was quite stunning!
These pics are with 3 coats of Beach, it would’ve been OK with just the 2 but there was a slight showing of nail line. Application was perfect, the formula is the perfect balance of thickness with a slight runny feel that enables you to cover the whole nail with just one stroke. The brush is wide, with a long, sturdy handle which is very comfortable to hold. I’ve never tried a Revlon polish before and will definitely be buying more! The scent is just a gimmick, it …

Here are the Revlon A/W Suede Rhapsody collection nail enamels applied, I found them easy to apply although I did have to apply it quite thickly otherwise it would drag and go patchy. I used ELFs Matte Finisher as a topcoat and I think it extended the life of them as I’ve seen on other blogs they have only a day or so lasting power? With the Matte Finisher I had these on a good 4-5 days before any tipwear or chipping was visable!
Ruby Ribbon – 2 coats & ELF Matte Finisher
Emerald City – 2 coats with ELF Matte Finisher
This was my first experience with Revlon polishes and I was pleasantly surprised! Like I said they do need a thicker layer as they dry so quick but I that happens with all matte polishes. Saying that, I think they would look amazing with a shiny topcoat, but for the purpose of them being matte I kept them so.
Both polishes retail at £6.29 each

What beautiful colours for autumn! This is the gorgeous Suede Rhapsody collection created by Gucci Westman for Autumn/Winter 2010.
The collection consists of:
ColorStay 12hr Eye Shadow quad in Silver Fox £7.99
Super Lustrous lipstick in Mink £7.29
Matte lipstick in Sky Pink & Smoked Peach £7.29
Nail Enamel in Ruby Ribbon & Emerald City £6.29
L-R Smoked Peach – Sky Pink – Mink
The matte lipsticks are one of the best formulas I’ve ever tried, they glide on perfectly and don’t dry my lips. You don’t need to coat your lips in balm before application and they last through lunch! Very impressed, I want to get Nude Attitude and Pink Pout.
Unusual colours, but a bit of an odd mix. This is my first time using Revlon eye shadows and although they are quite pigmented I did find them a bit chalky, as you can see in the pic. I love using the white as a highlighter and found the colours easily to blend and they work beautifully together. The aqua is gorgeous, I’m a sucker for green eye shadows and will be wearing this alot! Not really autumnal colours as such, but a really nice addition to my collection.
I created this look using the …

Revlon PhotoReady has become a bit of a Marmite product I’ve noticed… Whilst some love it and hail it HG others hate it and I’ve seen it crop up on more blog sales than I’ve had hot dinners!
I find PhotoReady doesn’t give me the coverage I need, and I probobly wouldn’t use it on it’s own but being the genius I am I mixed it with ColorStay and the results are amazing! You get the coverage and lasting power with ColorStay and the blending ability and luminous effect of PhotoReady WITHOUT that dreaded ‘Cullen effect’!
ColorStay on the left with a blob of PhotoReady
Mixed together (this is maybe a tad more then I would use but you get the picture!)
I have been wearing this combo non stop and love it, my skin is flawless, radiant and Revlon products never break me out so my skin is also pretty clear at the moment.
If you have a bottle of PhotoReady laying around that is getting no love try mixing it up, I’m sure you will LOVE the result =)
Anyone else already tried this….?

I am a big cosmetics junkie! If it makes my eyes look bigger, my lashes longer, my face smoother and my lips fuller… I want it! Im an avid reader of Makeupalley.com. Its my first port of call whenever I’m thinking of buying a new product that I’ve seen advertised. A mascara thats been splashed all over the pages of magazines and TV recently is Revlon’s new Double Twist mascara. It seems to tick all the boxes for me, as I LOVE comb-type wands for seperating and fibre wands for volume. If I was to go buy the MUA reviews (which I swear by) I would never have spent £6.99 *normal r.r.p £8.99* on this peice of crap. Only 15% of MUAers would buy the product again out of the 200+ ladies who reviewed. Even Jessica Alba (the brands spokeswoman) has told InStyle magazine that she needs to wipe the wand before application. Its horrible! My lashes were stuck together, clumpy and worse still it dried stiff, like I had concrete on my eyes. Yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The comb bristles are stiff and rubbery (think Rimmel Glam’ Eyes) which would be perfect for combing through the thick forumla. Im quite …
